WELCOME TO THE DETONATE UNIVERSE - where anything and everything is possible – The world where a no budget 8mm video movie gets a big Hollywood campaign with nothing to start with but the original 8mm video tapes.
Detonate is a feature-length film my friends and I made back in 1997, it won’t win any awards or critic accolades but for us it is a reminder that you can make a movie (good or bad) with almost nothing – and have a blast doing it. – Recently I have decided to recut the film from scratch as well as create and design a complete over the top advertising campaign and special edition DVD to promote this movie.
On this website you can find anything and everything about this little film and it’s 2012 relaunch. Dive in and explore the world of Detonate through the many navigation tabs above and see for yourself – the biggest no-budget film promotional campaign you have ever seen.

BOTH 2012 recut versions now uploaded
I have now uploaded both versions of Detonate The Recut available to watch or download to never watch later. I have recut two versions of our 1997 classic, both cuts are the same they just feature different soundtracks. The new 70′s soundtrack score and the new Epic Hollywood Contemporary score. Each soundtrack gives the film a unique feel. Click on the posters below to watch.
Commentary Podcasts up on itunes
I just got the confirmation notice that itunes has approved the three Detonate commentary tracks. I plan on uploading the full film this week so now if anyone gets really bored and wants to watch the film with any of these commentaries they are available. I recorded three different commentaries exclusively for this 2012 recut – First commentary is with my co-director Jojo Miranda, Second with the editor of the 1997 version Jake Segraves, and the third one I ramble on on more of the technical aspects of doing the recut.
2 NEW DOCUMENTARIES UPLOADED
Hey everyone. Because of the duplication delay of the 2-dsic DVD I have begun uploading all of the bonus features I have made for the DVD, so anyone who wishes to see them can. I have just uploaded the two main documentaries “A LOOK BACK: THE MAKING OF DETONATE” (51 mins) and “INSIDE THE RECUT” (33 mins). You can watch them on the videos page [ HERE ]
